藝術家楊恩生是臺灣第一代生態藝術家，作品以寫實風格為主，主題多為自然生態，喜歡以鳥為主角。90年代曾為臺灣設計規劃了多套與自然有關的郵票；並曾出版多本水彩教科書，對臺灣的水彩畫理論有諸多貢獻。楊恩生的創作理念為「藝術是美，科學是真，環保就是善」，將水彩藝術與生態理念結合成教學體系，發揮了藝術及保育的深遠影響力。作品〈龍門灣景觀〉描繪的是龍門灣「之」字型的水道，青山、天空與水面彼此呼應，流露著大地萬物和諧共存的靜謐感。
The artist YANG En-Sheng is part of the first generation of Taiwan’s ecological artists. The style of his work is realistic and is mostly focused on natural environments as a subject, with a particular focus on birds. In the 90s, he designed a series of stamps for the post office, and he has done much to advance watercolor theory in Taiwan, having published many books on the subject. Yang’s creative philosophy is, “Art is beauty, science is true, conservation is benevolence.” Yang creates an educational system by combining watercolors and environmental philosophy, through which he has profoundly influenced both art and conservation. His work, “Longmen Bay” depicts the shape of the Longmen Bay aqueduct, as it curves through the scene like calligraphy. The green mountains, open sky, and water’s surface blend and conform with one another, revealing the harmonious coexistence of all things together on Earth.
