看到龍眼，就會想到五瓣果肉，味道像柚子的杜古。清甜略帶酸味，在台灣稱杜古為蘭撒果(Langsat)。還有，球果上長滿髮絲般的柔軟絨毛的紅毛丹。有時我會用小刀劃一下，用雙手上下握住，像開瓶蓋一樣的旋開，享受香甜帶點酸的味道。都是我最思念的家鄉味。
When I see longan fruit, I am reminded of the plump, juicy flesh and pomelo-like flavour of the dukuh fruit. The refreshingly sweet and slightly sour dukuh is known as the langsat in Taiwan. And then there’s the round rambutan covered in soft, crimson hairs. Sometimes I make a small cut on the skin with a knife and, cupping it in both of my hands, I twist off the top like I’m opening a bottle and take pleasure in the sweet and slightly sour taste. These are the flavours of home I miss the most.
