Since 2013, the Xue Xue Foundation has collaborated with the Ministry of Education to promote the “Taiwanese Culture Colors Art Education Project” program. Through color sampling and fieldwork in local communities, students explore the palettes of Taiwanese artists and express cultural identity by painting ceramic animal figures. Each work reflects their unique view of hometown culture, rooted in both observation and imagination.
Each year, the Foundation invites artist Tsong Pu to design a zodiac prototype. This year’s theme features the “The Moving Snake.” The works are created by students from Shalun Elementary School in Banqiao, inspired by field research and local colors—stone gray, brick red, wall yellow, pastry yellow, and chinaberry brown—reflecting the spirit of their hometown.
