藍腹鷴是最美麗的臺灣特有種鳥類，羽毛色彩繽紛奪目；而百合寓意百人合力團結一致，方致成功；又臺語中百與北音同，希望藉由此畫傳達：在市長與同仁的共同努力下，新北市能成為最繽紛美麗的城市。
The blue magpie is the most beautiful endemic bird in Taiwan with feathers of splendid colors. The lily represents the unity of a hundred people to achieve success. In Taiwanese, “bai” (hundred) sounds the same as “bei” (north). It is hoped that the painting conveys that through the hard work of the mayor and staff, New Taipei City will become a most colorful and beautiful city.
