中國明代小說家吳承恩的著作《西游記》中，孫悟空被如來佛祖鎮壓在五指山下。每一個獨立的個體都應當有其自由，但是什麼才是自由？困在山底下的孫悟空，其肉身受到禁錮，那麼他的身軀在五指山的鎮壓之下感受不到自由，但是他的精神與靈魂呢？是否也被困在山底下了呢？
In Journey to the West by a novelist in the Ming Dynasty, Wu Cheng-en, Sun Wu-kong was suppressed under the Wuzhi Mountain by Buddha. Each individual should enjoy freedom. But what is freedom? Sun Wu-kong can’t feel freedom as his body is stuck under the mountain. What about his spirit and soul? Are they also stuck under the mountain?
