陳土金老師出生於新北市石碇深山中，從小小兒麻痺，家境不佳，只能爬行於山中，人生無望無趣之中，在山間中觀察到雲霧圍繞的美景，深存心中，感動動容自然之偉大美景，也給予自身滿滿鼓勵，自學山水畫後，藉由多年的繪畫磨練，將心中此景重現。
Mr. Chen Tu-Chin was born in the deep mountains of Shiding in New Taipei City. Living in poverty and with polio in his childhood, he had to move by crawling in the mountains. Without hopes and fun in life, he observed the beautiful scenery surrounded by clouds and mist in the mountains and held it in his mind. The beautiful natural scenery touched him and gave him considerable encouragement. Since he taught himself landscape painting, he has reproduced these scenes in his mind through years of painting experience.
