本幅作品以四條金魚為主角，在藍紫色礦物顏料與金箔的層層交疊中，試圖營造水波被攪動的感覺，破碎的箔在背景中閃爍，宛如金碧輝煌的宮殿在歷史中逐漸凋零，在驚滔駭浪之後仍留下些什麼耐人尋味的故事。筆者描繪的是魚缸的金魚人生，營造的卻是有如深海的處世哲學。身處現實，卻了解慾望的魅惑，人需要物質，但精神層面的追求，生活才會踏實，心靈才能得到安定。
與其他作品較為不同處，在於這件作品以整面的箔作為底層，接著以粗顆粒礦物顏料堆積後，再貼上破碎的箔，重複三到五次來達到色彩的細膩呈現，增添背景的可看性。金魚以細顆粒作描繪，在部分前景的花卉之上以金泥提出重點，並在四周罩染黑群青，營造劇場式的燈光。
This artwork features four goldfish, set against a backdrop crafted from layers of blue-violet mineral pigments and gold leaf, aiming to evoke the image of rippling water. The fragmented pieces of gold leaf in the background shimmer like remnants of a grand palace slowly succumbing to the ravages of time, leaving a trail of intriguing stories long after the tumultuous waves have calmed. The artist portrays the goldfish within the confines of an aquarium but imbues the scene with a life philosophy reminiscent of the deep depths of the ocean. While acknowledging the allure of material desires, the artwork reflects a deeper quest for spiritual fulfillment that offers life its true steadiness and peace to the soul. What sets this piece apart is its base layer of uninterrupted gold leaf, over which coarse mineral pigments are applied. This base is then interspersed with fragments of gold leaf, a process repeated three to five times to refine the interplay of colors and enhance the background's visual appeal. The goldfish are delicately rendered with fine pigments, accented with gold highlights that complement the floral elements in the foreground. The scene is framed by black ultramarine, lending a dramatic, theatrical quality to the lighting.
