共融城市：未來時光 The Inclusive City: Ordinary Days

「共融城市」邀請與新北市有在地連結的不同族群藝術家，透過個人獨特的成長軌跡、內在情感及價值觀念，一探新北市藝文的多重面貌。本檔展覽特邀新住民、外籍工作者、原住民及客家在地文化一同展出，多元文化下會遇到的文化衝突、語言藩籬、社會歧視等課題，願透過藝術來更好地理解並尊重彼此的差異，建立和諧、尊重、平等的關係。
從而推動社會的進步和發展，讓新北市變成適合安居樂業的城市。 The Inclusive City invites artists from diverse ethnic roots, each with their own ties to New Taipei City. These artists, through their personal tales of growth, emotional journey, and values, delve into the multifaceted realms of art that encapsulate the essence of New Taipei City. This exhibition features pieces from new immigrants, foreign workers, indigenous artists, and Hakka culture. Their creations are the outcomes of cultural frictions, language barriers, social bias, and other struggles inherent in a multicultural society. The exhibition, harnessing the power of art, intends to engender a deeper understanding and mutual respect for our differences, thereby cultivating peace, respect, and equality. Promoting social progression and advancement, our endeavor is to shape New Taipei City into a place where people can live and work in harmony.

泰雅族婦女以精巧的織布技藝聞名，編織技藝是母親傳給女兒的文化之一，織布技巧證明能力與社會地位，也是紋面的判斷依據，更攸關去世後能否迎向祖靈。由於烏來靠近平地，自日治時期便逐漸與平地文明同化，眾多因素下編織文化逐漸消逝隱沒，經過多年復振，烏來的泰雅部落延請耆老前來教授當地婦女織布，在資源有限的情況下，織者只能圍繞著唯一的地織機，觀摩耆老示範編織法。藝術家們承襲傳統屈尺群的編織技藝，娓娓述說烏來泰雅編織文化如何從消隱、重現以至復振的創作能量。 The Atayal women are renowned for their exceptional skills in the art of weaving—a cherished tradition passed down from mothers to daughters. Mastery in weaving not only demonstrates skill and social standing but also qualifies one for earning facial tattoos. It also carries profound significance in determining an individual's ability to connect with their ancestral spirits beyond death. Wulai, due to its geographical proximity to the flatlands, began blending with flatland society during the Japanese occupation, leading to a waning weaving culture. However, revitalization efforts over the years have empowered the Atayal tribe in Wulai to reintroduce weaving by inviting respected elders to teach local women this craft. Despite limited resources, the weavers have adapted to using the sole ground loom available, keenly learning from the elders' demonstrations. Inheriting the traditional weaving skills of the Taranan group of the Atayal tribe, artists narrate the remarkable journey of the Atayal weaving culture in Wulai, taking it from the brink of extinction to its vibrant resurgence, rekindling a creative energy that now permeates the community.
