「擬仿物」是具象寫實作品最初的命定,『簡單構成』系列,我參考了摺紙、以及一些3D構成的視覺圖像,用簡易取得的紙張隨意摺成幾何造型,透過擺拍,以及事後的合成,將其重新構圖;使其在畫面中穿梭、錯置、對應,再輔以線條、色塊的串連,使其構成視覺與空間的巧妙平衡,與物件之間的某種對應,並融入以往我們對構圖的基本學養。簡單構成的過程,亦是我對於一幅具象繪畫元素的重新思考,以及對於今日影像的反芻。
What should a figurative painting be made of? Points, lines, planes, color, space, structure, form, composition, brushstrokes… These basic elements of painting led me to rethink how creation can “return to painting itself.”
“Mimetic object” may be the original condition of figurative realism. In the Simple Composition series, I referenced origami and images of 3D structures, folding simple sheets of paper into geometric forms. Through staged photography and digital collage, I recomposed them so they move, overlap, and respond to one another within the image. Lines and color blocks are then added to create a balance between visual form and space, while also echoing the basic principles of composition. The process of Simple Composition is my way of rethinking the elements of figurative painting, as well as reflecting on images today.
